The objective of Minton’s Mentors Foundation is to contribute to the residents of the Harlem community by educating, informing, and supporting our youth and community members through the arts.
We intend to enhance knowledge and share awareness of the role of Jazz as the major indigenous musical genre of the United States. Minton’s Playhouse was always recognized for acting as a center for the extension and development of Jazz as a cultural format in New York City and nationally.
